I love print making, especially lino cut. When I can get use of a kiln I also love to fuse glass, but am limited by sporadic access to equipment.
I gained a degree in fine art in 2002 and have been doing it on and off ever since. In 2018 I was made redundant from my full time job, so made the decision to focus more on what I love and take the plunge to develop my art business.
When I first completed my degree I mainly focused on mono-printing, which I combined with stencils to create colourful scenes. My work has evolved a lot since then, and I now produce small lino cuts, mostly of animals. I mainly work from photos or digital images to create my pieces, although have on occasion branched out into my imagination!
I enjoy the focus required to cut a lino, and find it very therapeutic (until I get shoulder and neck ache from hunching over it for too long!).
I am happy to take commissions – you can see some of my commission work in the gallery.
